New and Improved! September Scouting Trip! Cape Cod Camping and Kayak Tour

Posted on Aug 31 2015 - 9:15am

Hi All,

The completely resurrected September scouting trip will be the same weekend (Friday September 11th - Sunday September 13th) and will feature: 2 nights of camping at BSA Camp Greenough, in Yarmouth Port, Cape Cod as well as a guided kayak tour of Nauset Marsh on Saturday. Reviews of Camp Greenough are excellent (very clean, well-maintained and all of the typical activities such as swimming, games, etc.). We will send out a detailed flier and equipment list in the next week or so. The current cost estimate for the trip will be around $50 per person, which includes food, campsite fees, and kayak tour (assuming we get the group rate based on 15 participants for kayaking).

Now that the latest round of Resolute is wrapped up, I wanted to remind all the Life Scouts that I am the trained Eagle Coach for the Troop and am available to help in planning and completing paperwork for your Eagle projects.

Please don't hesitate in contacting me if you do need help.

David Tang was awarded the rank of Eagle at Boards of Review
    in Marlborough this evening.

His project was to extend a trail and create a trail head to
    Callahan State Park.

Well done and congratulations, David, on earning
    this highest rank in scouting!

Posted on Mar 21 2015 - 10:47pm

Hello Fellow Troop Members,

I am working on my E. Prep Badge. We need to do a troop Mobilization plan. So below (in the download file is the procedure I think it should be (This will vary per trip, but we could do it at Cole Pond) Also we could "call" the local firefighters or something.
